Hi, it's Michael Clouser here.
My desire to work for myself, rather than someone else, began later in life in my late 30's. My father was an entrepreneur and he encouraged me to "work for myself" as well.
His early influences did have an impact on me even though it was further down the road. I was a good employee (or so I was told), but despite my hard work, I always felt like I was just "Spinning My Wheels".
Ultimately, a "real" job didn't cut it for me because I just couldn't stand the lack of freedom over my own time.
It all came to a head for me in 2003, when job security became a thing of the past and my retirement plan was only good for about One year of quality life.
I knew that I Wanted to start securing my future and decided to try my hand at network marketing . I picked things up here and there and began to realize that many of these on and off-line marketers were just ordinary individuals, working from home, and making great money with their businesses. I figured I might give it a try myself.
I Purchased several "how to books" and even enrolled in training and what I read and learned excited me to no end. I realized pretty quickly at that point that I wanted to put my full effort into building a network marketing business.
I followed all the instructions and completed all of the training. It wasn't as hard as I had expected. I worked late into the night every evening after work and within a few weeks had my first website up and running online - a simple content rich, opt-in website for a health and wellness business.
After mediocre success through pay-per-click advertising, I went back to the drawing board and the books to learn more about this thing called free organic traffic, again followed all the instructions and started to see some results but not quite to the level I wanted.
I knew in the back of my mind there was something missing and one day a colleague of mine introduced me to two top notch marketers that had made huge waves in this industry. I never shy away from information and education, so I threw my hat in the ring, expecting nothing and much to my amazement there was the missing pieces to my puzzle. Finally all the answers!
Now, I'm not going to say that I became a millionaire, because that's not what happened. It took me a few months to unlearn all of my less successful methods and it was a rocky ride, full of ups and downs. There were many times when I felt like giving up. But I pressed forward and eventually everything just clicked into place.
Since then, my network marketing business is growing at a rapid pace and I've taken this incredible knowledge and expanded it to some of my other business ventures with the same success. I'm now able to turn my efforts towards helping others through training and coaching.
I now have the skills and knowledge to throw my hat into any marketing arena and succeed.
The best part, for me, is that I've been able to build my business from my home, which is what I always wanted to do.
Why Network marketing, there are thousands of other careers to choose from?
It's simple, I had a passion for it and I wanted to be my own boss and make my own hours and have no limits on the amount of income that I could earn.
Marketing has many faces, so many that it is impossible not to find something that you will love, If you can think of it, you can market it.
My biggest challenge wasn't building my network marketing business, but FINDING THE RIGHT DIRECTION in the first place, from among the mass of "get rich quick" schemes out there.
Once I sifted through all of the 'Riff Raff' and got the knowledge, I felt unstoppable and was eager to put my skills to work, and to this day have never looked back, only forward.

But nothing worth learning comes without effort. If we think back to any skill we've learned in life, there was always a learning process. Eventually though, with enough practice, the process becomes simple and even automatic. We don't think twice before doing it because we don't have to.
Network Marketing is the same way. Once you understand how it works, it becomes rather simple.
The fact remains that one of the easiest ways to start earning income is with the right home-based business. You can get started in a rather short period of time for a minimal investment and choose amongst many different ways to market it, depending on your available time and with little or no budget.
That's why I encourage anyone who is hesitant about trying it to just jump in and get their feet wet. If you are serious and want to earn the income and live the lifestyle, then your road to success begins with passion and uncompromising goals and ends in success.
