Where I see most of these aspiring marketers struggling is trying to sell or convince people to buy their products or join with them in their income opportunity.

That is due to the fact that they believe that is all they can do with their business, nothing else.
Marketing is not hard, but you still need to be smart about it and know your market.

Learning your market is not hard either, just think about what you are selling and what is the desired result that the end user expects to receive? Now don’t limit yourself to the obvious.

Without straying off course too far here; let’s take a closer look and see what it is that people want and how you can make money from that all within the MLM company that you are with.

So what is that people want and are willing to pay for? INFORMATION on a specific topic.

Let’s take a look at an example: Let’s say that you have a product that helps with Fibromyalgia. Create an eBook that deals with “Everything You Need To Know about Fibromyalgia.” And offer that to them at a very affordable price, say $9.99.

You can host and sell the product on click bank or pay pal.

You do the research and you write the eBook and give them all the information along with a link to buying your product. Do not plagiarize it as you will get caught and shut down. Run it through Copyscape to make sure it is legit.

Then take the next step and put up a website and include a link to the eBook that might say “recommended reading”. If you do not feel like creating an eBook then open up an affiliate account with Amazon.com and set up an A-Store that sells all of the books that relate to fibromyalgia and give them the link to it.

To look at an example of how this might look, go over and visit my site at www.troutfishsecrets.com and take a look at the layout. (I am not trying to sell you anything off of my site, it is just for an example :-)

The warning that comes with this is that I want you to be original, don’t copy someone else’s work because Google will recognize a copy and won’t display your site as they will deem it unoriginal and may black list you.

You want to be original anyhow and differentiate yourself from everyone else.

This is just an easy way to further monetize your business and the boundaries are limitless, so go out there and get creative and market your business like you mean it.

<![CDATA[The Real Truth About MLM That Companies Don't Want You To Know.]]>Sun, 13 May 2012 10:30:34 -0800http://www.marketingsolutionssource.com/1/post/2012/05/the-real-truth-about-mlm-that-companies-dont-want-you-to-know.htmlThis article is written expressly to diffuse any of the myths that unsuspecting marketers wil be told about the MLM Industry.

If you are interested in joining a mlm company for the purposes of generating income this article will dispell any myths and give you a more concise understanding of this industry that you are getting involved with...
The first myth is that if you join a network marketing company you will create immense wealth and be able to quit your day job and live lavishly ever after.

That is simply not the case and the 1% that have done that are the rare exception. You should enter into this type of opportunity with the mindset that you would like to make a couple of extra supplemental income dollars.

Set small inexpensive goals and achieve them first and see where it goes from there.

The Second myth is that you can work your new business from home part time for about 10 hours a week and strike it rich.

Completely false and very disturbing. The ultra-successful 1% are working this business full time anywhere from 40 to 80 hours a week.

If you are only working your business sparingly then your income will come sparingly if at all.

That brings us to the third myth that getting involved in network marketing creates time freedom that you can spend with your family.

Well if you factor in your day job along with whatever extra hours that you are applying to your home business, where does that leave free time for you or your family?

It has been said that if you work it full time from home then you can save on child care and you can spend all day with your family. I am sorry but you do not want to have that kind of distraction while you are trying to work.

The fourth myth is that you don’t need to invest any money into your business.

This myth does not account for your startup fee and your monthly auto enrollment fee. There are other monetary investments that lurk behind the scenes such as extra product, additional phone line, printers and ink, website an auto-responder accounts, purchasing leads and so on. These all add up and cut into or wipe out profit.

Next myth is you can join and start earning immediately. Not so fast, unless you are extraordinary or a seasoned marketing veteran, you can expect to throw away your first 1 to 3 months before you get out of the red. Some never do.

Remember that you have a monthly auto-enrollment that can run you anywhere from $20 to $150 a month and a startup fee to pay off that can go anywhere from $50 to $2000.

There are many other myths such as the products or services sell themselves, or we have the best product and compensation plan in the market and you are an independent business owner that cannot be fired all of which have little validity.

In Closing: You can have success in this industry if you are smart and seek out some marketing advice. If you come into this industry slowly and set small attainable goals there is no reason you can’t pick up that extra cash and grow along the way.

You just need to be realistic, honest and hardworking and never waiver from that.

<![CDATA[Is Your Website Helping or Hurting You?]]>Sat, 02 Apr 2011 16:40:58 -0800http://www.marketingsolutionssource.com/1/post/2011/04/website-review.html I am writing this particular blog post because I am appauled and dismayed by some of the websites that I see out there.
I am not talking about your company replicated one which I will discuss in my next post instead I am talking about the personal branding sites that I am seeing.
As a marketer in the home based or direct selling industry your website is either going to make you or break you. What I have seen out there looks like there is a lot of broken marketers out there.
First of all you need to understand the differences between a lead capture site and a sales page. The lead capture page is going to be the very first thing that your prospect see's. It needs to be very short and concise because all you are trying to do with it is get a lead.
The sole purpose of this page is to write a compelling offer for a solution to what ever pain, want or need that your prospect has and in exchange for this information and your free offer (which could be a free report or consultation) they will fill in their information into your opt-in box.
This page should be very short and involve little or no scrolling, it would consist of a main headline and maybe one or two sub-headlines that are hitting emotional hot spots.
Next it should contain a picture of you to let them know that you are indeed human and this should be placed in the upper left corner to the left of the main headline with your opt-in box in the upper right side of the page just right of the main headline.
The next thing that would go below this is either a short 2 or 3 minute video or some bullet points telling them all about what they are going to recieve in their free gift. Followed by a strong call to action to fill their information in your opt-in box in order to collect on their free gift. Aside from that you would include your closing salutation, signature and maybe a website copyright at the bottom of the page.
The sales page comes later, after you have started a relationship with them and built up trust which will come soon enough and can be delivered in your email autoresponder. The sales page is not always necessary but if used will do all of the selling, provide more product detail and divuge pricing and allow for puchasing.
What I'm seeing out there is astronomically long web pages jammed full of information overload and confusion. I am seeing sites full of hundreds of links to products, adsense adds and affiliate banners that have absolutely nothing in common with your page and all it does is confuse people as to the real reason they visited your site in the first place. If your not converting sales and have no one in your lead funnel, now you know why.
In Conclusion:
If you have one of these sites and are offended i'm sorry now you know what to do to fix it. There is one last thing I want to say and that is this and it may come as a shock but you really don't even need a web page to build a large down line and successful mlm business, if you are direct selling yes for the backend. With an mlm company you will get along fine with the company issued site and can use that as clout or proof that you are in fact with a real company.
There are methods of lead generation that will blow away the use of a website on the front end that will out-perform them any day of the week.
